Life Story

First of all, I would like to say that I'm really, really, really, super-de-duper sorry for not keeping my promise from the last post that I will post a new video. I should really just shut up.

I WAS BUSY, KAY? And no, no song today. It's a life story. (Time for Mani to get rambling!)

Anywhoo, I've had a bunch of people ask me how I got interested in this whole music biz. Now, if you don't want to hear all this mambo jumbo, well, feel free to browse around the blog. If you're really not interested in my blog at all, why are you even here? :P (but I love you for giving me a view!)

Alrighty, once upon a time, long before I wrote songs, I wrote poetry. Poetry about anything, anytime. Pizza, weather... you name it.
I was 6.
And when I was 6, I was randomly singing on top of the coffee table in the living room like there was no tomorrow. (My mom made videos. There's proof. I'm so glad I have no idea where they are.)

Shortly after, I wrote a song... about pizza...
Let's say there wasn't much going on at that time.
*fastforward*

I was 9 when I wrote a song with meaning. My friend (*super talented friend) sang a poem of mine, and instantly said it was better off as a song.
I wasn't really a happy chap, I was a poet after all. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that I was a better songwriter then a poet. Then I wrote more songs. And started singing them too.

And I got Tino. (my acoustic guitar, for those who don't know.)

I wrote more songs and poems. And I got Vannie. (my electric guitar.)

I wrote more songs and poems.... and here I am today!

That's it! A really lame story about how I got inspired to start pursuing music.

Oh, and I played piano during this story too. Ahaha.

Yuppers... *awkward silence*

Awww yeah. It's amazing to have friends with similar interests as you.
I have this friend, and he has this website where he talks about music and has links to music and websites that he likes. I think it's pretty cool, actually.

I was stumped on ideas for a while, and because of my busy schedule, I couldn't think of any myself.

Today was an awesome day. It was my friend's birthday and we went go-karting, played an intense game of Foosball, ate a lot of cake and pizza, and so much more. 

I WROTE A HAPPY SONG. It was inspired by Taylor Swift. <3

I Fell Out of a Kayak

So I went camping with my class. FOR 5 DAYS.
That is a big deal for me since I am not much of a camper and I have to say...

I WANT TO BE BACK.

5 days felt like nothing. It was an amazing time. It couldn't be better.

Well, if only I didn't fall out of a kayak and it didn't rain while I was rock climbing.
All is well.

I miss it so much. My friends and I have made so many inside jokes. It's legit.

I spent almost a week without writing a song. That's creepy.

I'm going to try to write a song on the top of my head.

Yeah, I will.

I will try to write a song when I write my next post.

I Finally Laid My Hands on My Songbook

FINALLY! I finished my project. Turns out, it was better than I expected. :)
I mean, the downside was that I had to lug Tino all around my school (and my school is pretty big) but my friend's fought over Tino because they wanted to carry him.

Long story short: My teacher was impressed. :) That's what I really care about.

I finally wrote some lines for a song. It's been a while since I actually opened my songbook and wrote. Guess I've been too busy with my project.

"Here I am, waiting for a wave,
To push it out, push away the pain.
It's harder than you think, to have a smile on your face."

Yeaaaaaaah. That's all I got.
Haha. Writer's Block perhaps?

OH AND DID I MENTION... for another project (English) we have to write songs about "The Diary Of Anne Frank."
^In my opinion, that is a very inspirational story. I recommend it. It's a very good read.

NOW THAT'S MY KIND OF PROJECT.

It's funny because we were asked if our partners were to be chosen randomly or we get to pick. We all wanted our partners to be chosen randomly... well... because... we all like each other. We're a very good and co-operative class. ;)
When our teacher mentioned that we're writing songs, all heads turned to me.. and then the class wanted to pick partners.

Luckily I was paired up with one of my best friends.
Life is good.. so far. :)

Sorry that I haven't been blogging lately. I was really busy with school and my project.
FINALLY... it's the weekend.

Anyway, I was SUPPOSED to present my project on Thursday, but due to our early dismissal, the class was shorter and I didn't.
Then, I was going to present today, but for some reason, I didn't.
So now, I'm presenting on Monday. Hopefully.
Aha, yeah. I will present on Monday.

Apparently, I've been dragging Tino all around my school for the past day or two. It's quite fun, actually, since two of my friends were fighting over Tino. They wanted to carry him around the school for me.

I also liked playing guitar in my art class. Especially when we have free time. Which I did, haha, but one of my friends (who is really good at guitar) kept "stealing" him away from me. :(
Haha.

Yeah, he's that famous.

We All Have Been Disturbed. Don't Deny.

I've been remembering flashbacks and memories lately. Some of which I don't even want to look back onto. It's kind of giving me the creeps.

Here it goes.

As I was inspecting my retainer (when I say inspect, I just mean randomly observing.. when I say that, I mean just staring at it.) I remembered an incident where I was about 4 years old. I walked into the bathroom and I found a cup that had my grandma's dentures in it. I will say no more, considering how disturbed you might be.

You know those little toys where you squeeze their heads and suddenly their eyes pop out. Yeah, that was what I looked like.

Long story short, I was scarred.

Anyway, I'm still writing songs, and I came up with this as I was trying to control my friend's hyperactive sister. Since I was too busy trying to control her and stop her from poking my eyes out and eating my ears, I only wrote a verse... basically 4 lines.

"If I come any closer to you,
I might just regret.
I can't go back cause if I do,
I know I'll get hurt."
