1. It's in really bad quality.
2. Camera/camcorders make my voice sound.... bleh.

It would be nice if I got a super cool microphone. 

So please don't judge me on the really messed up quality and ESPECIALLY on my voice. I sound better live. Haha.

Mani's Challenge.

I. HAVE. A. BRILLIANT. IDEA.

I found a notebook and on the cover it's says "Inspire." So, I just came with an awesome idea that I should write quotes in it. Every day, for at least a year I will write a quote (whether it's my own, song lyrics or a famous quote) and jot it down in my notebook. If, for some change I don't get to write in my notebook that day, write it separately and then add the quote in along with the date. I am challenging myself.

I have to make some sort of commitment. I mean, seriously? Every time I commit myself to something (mostly in writing) I basically never finish. Remember my so called novel? Yeah. I haven't worked on that in a month or something.


Aren't I amazing? ;)

A Music Freak's Life

Sundays. Boring, boring Sundays.
Well, for me that is.

I've had a pretty interesting weekend. The best part: it's a 4-day weekend. 

Friday: did nothing. literally.
Saturday: Went to a singing audition. Meh, didn't make it. Oh well. Also went to a barbecue.
Sunday: Friend's coming over. Oh yeah. :)

It may seem like it's really nothing much, but trust me. That's my life. :)

I Fell Out of a Kayak

So I went camping with my class. FOR 5 DAYS.
That is a big deal for me since I am not much of a camper and I have to say...

I WANT TO BE BACK.

5 days felt like nothing. It was an amazing time. It couldn't be better.

Well, if only I didn't fall out of a kayak and it didn't rain while I was rock climbing.
All is well.

I miss it so much. My friends and I have made so many inside jokes. It's legit.

I spent almost a week without writing a song. That's creepy.

I'm going to try to write a song on the top of my head.

No Hot Water In the House// MOMMY DAY

My friend's little sis was showing me some fairy wings. I think I've gone blind. They're so pink! Like hot pink!
Now, if that isn't bright, then I don't know what is.

I honestly have nothing to say here today, mainly because I'm really tired and bored. I also don't have my songbook with me at the moment.

Yesterday, luckily I took a shower in the morning, but when my mom took a shower, cold water started coming out.

NO. HOT. WATER.

So we basically spent like 5 minutes trying to find the hot water in every sink and shower we had. Turns out we didn't have any hot water and no one was going to fix it.

Why? It's the weekend. No one fixes appliances on the weekend. That's just sad.

Basically, I was stuck at my friend's house and I took a shower there. At least I got hot water. Hopefully some guy will fix it for us soon.

ALSO, It's Mother's Day.

Guess what I did? I didn't do the cheesy make-breakfast-in-bed thing. I gave my mom a card, and we're going to go out to eat. That's how awesome we are.

Actually, I also wrote a whole page of cheesy "heartfelt" random scramble of words. Also known as sentences in the card. I dunno why, I just felt like it. :)

Well, I love my mom and that's all that matters... right?
Even though I do annoy her sometimes. :D

My Capo is a Lifesaver!!

Why is it, you may ask?
WHAT is a capo, is probably the most common question. Correct? Yes.

A capo is sort of a clamp thingy (my awesome use of vocabulary) used on a guitar, it's placed on the frets to change the key. (or the sound of the guitar.)
You can still play the same chords but, it sounds different... yet COOLER.

Anyway, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my capo. It allows me to play random Lady Gaga songs easily. haha.
I also play other songs too, no worries. It's fun too, because every time you clamp it on a different fret, it sounds different, therefore, it's fun to play around with all the chords because they sound cool.

I mean, seriously. Before capo = BORING guitarist.
                           After capo= AWESOME guitarist. :)

You get my point. Besides, it's fun to play famous songs. It's much easier with a capo.

Tino loves my capo too. :)

I Finally Laid My Hands on My Songbook

FINALLY! I finished my project. Turns out, it was better than I expected. :)
I mean, the downside was that I had to lug Tino all around my school (and my school is pretty big) but my friend's fought over Tino because they wanted to carry him.

Long story short: My teacher was impressed. :) That's what I really care about.

I finally wrote some lines for a song. It's been a while since I actually opened my songbook and wrote. Guess I've been too busy with my project.

"Here I am, waiting for a wave,
To push it out, push away the pain.
It's harder than you think, to have a smile on your face."

Yeaaaaaaah. That's all I got.
Haha. Writer's Block perhaps?

OH AND DID I MENTION... for another project (English) we have to write songs about "The Diary Of Anne Frank."
^In my opinion, that is a very inspirational story. I recommend it. It's a very good read.

NOW THAT'S MY KIND OF PROJECT.

It's funny because we were asked if our partners were to be chosen randomly or we get to pick. We all wanted our partners to be chosen randomly... well... because... we all like each other. We're a very good and co-operative class. ;)
When our teacher mentioned that we're writing songs, all heads turned to me.. and then the class wanted to pick partners.

Luckily I was paired up with one of my best friends.
Life is good.. so far. :)

Sorry that I haven't been blogging lately. I was really busy with school and my project.
FINALLY... it's the weekend.

Anyway, I was SUPPOSED to present my project on Thursday, but due to our early dismissal, the class was shorter and I didn't.
Then, I was going to present today, but for some reason, I didn't.
So now, I'm presenting on Monday. Hopefully.
Aha, yeah. I will present on Monday.

Apparently, I've been dragging Tino all around my school for the past day or two. It's quite fun, actually, since two of my friends were fighting over Tino. They wanted to carry him around the school for me.

I also liked playing guitar in my art class. Especially when we have free time. Which I did, haha, but one of my friends (who is really good at guitar) kept "stealing" him away from me. :(

Another Day of Boredom... and Music Videos.

Another Saturday has passed... boring as ever. Well, not really. The evenings tend to get a little boring. There isn't much to do, besides ranting on this blog, which by the way, (if you prefer text talk, then I'll say BTW) is literally my refuge to get outta boredom.

Project time!

I finally found the song I'm going to use for my project!!

For this song, I'm only going to be recording the chorus and posting it onto my powerpoint. Although I've been complaining about not having any equipment for recording, I am going to work in the music room at my school. Omigosh! It's amazing! There's a lot of music equipment there! What a dream come true. :)

Unfortunately the presentation has to be a maximum of 5 minutes long.

Anyway, it's pretty ironic how I end up adding posts for 4 days in a row or something, then I stop posting for 3 days, and start posting again. It seems to be a trend.

So, I'm working on a project. It's called ENEX. (Enrichment Exploration.)
Yes, it sounds cool. Very cool.
We have to choose a topic for either
1. a future career
OR
2. a passion

I chose something somewhat in the middle... more on the passion side.
Can you guess? It's quite obvious.
Music Recording/Production!!!!

It's a powerpoint presentaion and I'm also going to create background music. Along with the music, I'm going to play Tino and sing an original. Yes, I'm hoping to get high marks for the "wow factor."

It's due in 3 weeks. Thank goodness I'm ALMOST done. Kind of. At least I'm not procrastinating.

We All Have Been Disturbed. Don't Deny.

I've been remembering flashbacks and memories lately. Some of which I don't even want to look back onto. It's kind of giving me the creeps.

Here it goes.

As I was inspecting my retainer (when I say inspect, I just mean randomly observing.. when I say that, I mean just staring at it.) I remembered an incident where I was about 4 years old. I walked into the bathroom and I found a cup that had my grandma's dentures in it. I will say no more, considering how disturbed you might be.

You know those little toys where you squeeze their heads and suddenly their eyes pop out. Yeah, that was what I looked like.

Long story short, I was scarred.

Anyway, I'm still writing songs, and I came up with this as I was trying to control my friend's hyperactive sister. Since I was too busy trying to control her and stop her from poking my eyes out and eating my ears, I only wrote a verse... basically 4 lines.

"If I come any closer to you,
I might just regret.
I can't go back cause if I do,
I know I'll get hurt."

Home "Sweet" Home.

I've been home all day long. Gee, how wonderful, isn't it? What a great way to spend my spring break. I think this day has been wasted. I mean, seriously, I could have written a song.

But I didn’t.

I could have gone out. But I didn’t. I could have played outside; mainly because for once it’s actually nice outside. But I didn’t. I could have-

Yeah, you get the point.

I just didn’t, okay? I stayed home, sat comfortably on my sofa wearing my sweatpants, watched TV and didn’t do anything productive. Well, actually there was something productive.

I ate.

Eating food is quite an important and productive thing to do. If you don’t agree, then prove me wrong. I mean, eating is one of the ways that you’re healthy and ALIVE. Am I correct? When am I NOT correct? Probably one in a million.

I think I stretched that out a bit too far. Okay, I’ll go with one in a thousand.

Fine, fine. Okay. One in a hundred. Don’t push it.

As of right now, I’m sitting here with a notebook and a pen trying to come up with a new song. Honestly, I think I’ll end up coming up with a song at 3:00 AM, when I’m in the middle of a wacky dream.

When that happens, I don’t want to get out of my cozy bed and to my bookshelf and go through my however many notebooks I have until I find my songbook and try to write in the dark. Once I’m done, I get thirsty and I think to myself “Dude, you just wrote an awesome song. Now you must reward yourself with a cold glass of H2O.” 

Yes, I used a scientific term. 

Back to the story of my life. Do I go get a glass of H2O?

The answer my friend, is no. Why? Due to the fact that when a person, or to be exact, a family is asleep, people generally turn their lights off. Especially when it’s nighttime. No lights equal darkness. I don’t  like to go down the stairs when it’s dark and I prefer not to even walk around the house when I can barely see what I’m doing or where I’m going. I don’t have night vision. I consider you awesome if you do have night vision.

In other words, I’m too lazy to go downstairs, (in the dark!) and get a glass of water, then actually drink the water and go back up. 

Story time is over. 

Bytheway, I’m in the mood for a soft, chewy, chocolaty cookie. Yum. :)

Hello Noobie

I feel like I'm walking around in circles because I have nowhere to go with my so called "brilliant" idea of writing random gibberish on the blog other than my music. I've tried to make this blog as interesting as possible, but since it's coming from me, I doubt it will be interesting.... It will be AH-MAZING.

Enough said.

Besides, I just named it "A Peek Inside a Music Freak's Life" right? So I'm bound to tell you about my life, however boring you may find it.

I'm still walking around in circles and to be frank, I'm dizzy. Can I sit somewhere?

Also, I was searching through some songs and I found some that I recognized. I used to listen to them way back when I used to stare out the window pretending I was in a movie. Pssssh... I don't do that now.
In other words, I used to hear this on the radio quite a while ago and I'm pleased to hear it again.

It's a shame that I saw the music video for the first time today...

Stop and Stare- One Republic

I also get very annoyed at the adds they show in between some videos. I mean, I get it "Swifer gives cleaning a whole new meaning." I've used it before now stop reminding me, please. Also, I know it rhymes. That's cool. Yo.

R-r-r-ranting.

From what I know, April Fools ends at 12:00 PM. So three hours and thirty-two minutes have passed April Fools and honestly, I didn't prank anyone.

Go figure. I woke up at noon anyways. C'mon, it's spring break.

Don't get me wrong, I did get pranked. Let's just say, I've been pranked by my mind. My brain. My imagination. Whatever it is you want to call it, it's was in my head. And I was pranked while I was asleep.

It's quite easy to get fooled in your dreams. I mean, you can't control them, right?

Let me just sum it up. My dream involved me being apart of Dancing with the Stars and some of my friends who are boys wearing a skirt.

I have no clue how I came up with that and I hope that I will never come across that again.

Enough about that. I realized that this blog is full of mumbo-jumbo of all my songs. I think it's pretty awesome but I don't want you to read this blog and suddenly fall on your keyboard and start snoring. That's not what I intended. I've decided to also post random things about my life, or some posts about me ranting about a certain topic. And I'll add a bit of lyrics and poetry.

I've also decided to change the name of this blog. The URL is the same www.music-in-writing.blogspot.com but instead of "Music in Writing," I changed it to "A Peek Inside A Music Freak's Life."
I thought it will give it a little more character.

I hope this doesn't confuse you.
